The utopian factory is a vision of a safe space where time dissolves into care. Slowness is a form of resistance to accelerated consumerism. The spatial installation with original paintings and objects, forming a framework for recurring collective performances, is based on the idea of a kind of slow factory—a workplace that, instead of speed and performance, focuses on the experience of work and care for those who perform it.
Uniformed workers take care of the clothes entrusted to them, and the space is filled with the symphony of a metallophone, regularly alternating with the strikes of a gong. Here, rest is a ritual, repair is a sign of respect for the past, and the clock has no power.
